Trey Songz took to the stage on Thanksgiving Day in New York City at the Hammerstein Ballroom for a special one-night only concert benefiting his Angels with Heart Foundation. Designed to engage individuals, leaders and companies in giving back to communities and partnering with various philanthropic movements the Angels with Heart Foundation support the needs of underprivileged youth, empowering families and communities.

In stunt queen news of the day, The New York Post reports that an attorney representing Trey Songz sent a cease and desist letter to Dave “The Mogul” Hester of A&E reality show ‘Storage Wars’ demanding that Hester stop yelling Trigga’s “signature sound” during the show’s auctions of seized goods. He also wants Hester to stop printing “YUUUP!” on merchandise.

Whatever Tremaine. Young Buck could have sued you for coming on the scene parlaying his signature struggle cornrows for a nice lil’ come-up but he didn’t. He let you live.

According to Hester’s Manhattan federal court filing, Songz claims to have used “YUUUP! as his “signature sound” since at least 2009.

Hester, however, argues that Songz’ version “resembles an animal-like or non-human squeal which begins with a distinct ‘yeeee’ sound before finishing with a squeal-like ‘uuuup’ sound.” [LOLz -- Fresh]

That’s “distinct and different from Hester’s more monosyllabic sounding guttural auction bidding phrase…which is meant to convey the meaning of ‘yes,’ ” court papers say.

Hester’s suit seeks unspecified damages and a court order barring Songz from “interfering” with his use of “YUUUP!” which Hester trademarked in September.

Songz’ management firm didn’t respond to a request for comment.

The discussion of Trey Songz serving the kids is usually accompanied by an in-depth flow chart analyzing the effects his various love faces and “I’m wobbling this pussy subconsciously for your approval” empty stares has on loyal supporters, but not this time around.

In an interview with Chicago’s 107.5 WGCI’s The Morning Riot today (September 15), Kelly, who has said little to nothing about Trey Songz’s previous verbal attacks towards him, says the “Say Aah” singer needs to “humble himself.”

“I know that Trey Songz has the (potential) if he keeps with the hits,” Kelly says. “He just needs to humble himself a little bit more. (If he does), he’ll definitely be one of the runners-up.”

As far as the past attacks from Trey, Kelly says: “I was pretty numb. You know, I’m bullet-proof when it comes to beef. I don’t deal with beef – I love steak (laughs)”

Why the beef? Trey was quoted telling Vibe last year that R. Kelly copied Aaron Hall after people began comparing them.

“People say, ‘Well, I hear a lot of R. Kelly in your music.’ So what?” Songz told Vibe. “R. Kelly took Aaron Hall’s whole style. Two albums straight…You can say what you want about me.”

Kelly had more positive things to say about Trey’s peer and Virginia comrade Chris Brown, adding he’s “already there.”

“…Someone like Chris Brown is already there! Why? Because he is and always has been a humble guy,” Kelly says. “Chris Brown used to come to my studio when he was 13, 14, 15, 16. I used to lecture him all the time. I have the utmost respect for him. I take my hat off to him. Why? Because he got in the studio, did what he was supposed to do, and bounced back like a round ball.”

While Songz served as master of ceremonies for an exclusive 200 person celebration in Miami last month to benefit his charity, Angels With Heart, blockbuster actor Will Smith reportedly handed over a $5,000 check donation and mingled briefly before calling it a night. One brother showing love to another sounds innocent enough right?

Not when you have gossip rags to sell.

Recent reports claimed that in early August, Will, 42, surprised Jada, 39, at the couple’s Calabasas, Calif., mansion and discovered her with her “HawthoRNe” co-star, Marc Anthony, who recently split from Jennifer Lopez. The celebrity couple strongly denied the report.

And now, tongues are wagging that Will is enjoying a “bromance” with R&B artist Trey Songz, who’s been the subject of gay whispers himself.

On Aug. 18, the “Men in Black” star sat a a VIP table with Trey during an event at The Setai’s penthouse in Miami’s trendy South Beach – and the two reportedly hooked up again the following evening to enjoy dinner and the local nightlife.

Troy Taylor, a record exec and mentor to the singer, told THE ENQUIRER: “I know that Trey and Will have been friends for a very long time, but I can’t speak to the nature of their relationship. It’s none of my business.” (source)

Billboard.com reports that Trey will make his debut as a thespian in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D. Trey will play the male lead in the film due just in time for Halloween 2012. As for Twitter’s preferred brand of bitterness, he’s snagged a role in Steve Harvey’s Think Like A Man.

Chris will star in the film based on the romantic lessons shared in the twice-divorced author’s book, Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man. The film is a comedy, though the biggest joke of all will still be women taking advice from a guy only equipped to share advice on how to fry catfish.

Kelly Rowland rocked a form fitting dress perfect for the casino, Mary J. Blige followed her animal instincts and Ke$ha looked like the perfect meth lab bride on the white carpet at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday (May 22) at this year’s Billboard Awards.
