The family hustle was stronger than ever last night (February 2) at the 2012 fashion presentation for T.I.’s clothing brand Akoo in Atlanta.  Hometown favorites Keri Hilson, Killer Mike, Future, Cynthia Bailey and Polow Da Don had a front row view of models working the runway, showcasing designs from the clothing line at the Kevin Hart hosted event.

After calling out his “chauvinist ways” to Sister 2 Sister magazine editor Jamie Foster Brown during the couple’s cover story interview, America’s favorite Curious Case of the Cottles was just as eager to come to her “overbearing” husband’s defense. The Queen of the South has spoken, peasants.

Honestly, one thing I can say about T.I. is he has made all my dreams come true. Everything I have ever asked him for, everything I say I want to do, he makes it happen . . . Sometimes he can be a little overbearing ’cause he wants to know your every move, what’s going on and why ain’t you here.

On the flip side, there’s a lot of men that could give a shit about where their woman is or when they’re coming back, ’cause they want to do what they want to do. So I’m blessed to have someone that cares enough to want me around at all times.

He Say: “I rock with her because a while ago I saw that even if we were together as a couple, she was still cool. We bonded because we come from the same moral fabric. With me being a man of integrity, I could recognize her great attributes and qualities. When you find those things, you celebrate them. They don’t exist everywhere.”

She Say: “We were planning on getting married in 2007, but we broke up. It was for the betterment of the relationship. We were together at the height of his career. It gave him a chance to see what this world had to offer and what he had [with me.]“

He Say: “The crazy thing about me and Key was, we talked on the phone for three or four months without ever meeting in person. We did the high school thing — we talked on the phone until the morning. We really got to know each other well before we met in person. She has morals and a big heart. Once we met, things happened fast . . . “

“From a male standpoint, I just think you’ve got to actually commit. She has to be the right one. If not, you won’t feel enough inside of you to give her everything you’ve got. If she’s the one and you feel it and hear it [from God], commit your mind, body and soul to make it work so you can be the man God wants you to be. That the only way you’ll make it work. People go through things.”

She Say: “I was kind of through with relationships. I didn’t feel like guys were mature enough. What made me gravitate toward Gib was his faith in God, more than anything. He seemed like a loving person. He talked a lot about his grandmother, who had passed away, and the things she instilled in him.”

He Say: “She was up-front and honest. I never had that before. I always [say to] people in early conversations, ‘Tell me about yourself.’ They always skip a story and try to come off squeaky clean. She Say: “I didn’t want anyone telling him something about me. He doesn’t judge me on my past or anything I’ve done. He accepts me. The level of conversations I’ve had with Chad, there are some things my girlfriends don’t even know. I’m comfortable with him. If a man is in a high-profile position or just the average Joe Schmoe, women go through the same things, regardless of [his] status. If anything is going to happen, it will, whether he’s playing for the Patriots or working at a bank. No one is perfect. I can’t control him, and he can’t control me.”

While the drama between Tiny’s squabbling friends on last night’s episode of T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle was faking than whatever shit she had injected into her top lip during her Bart Simpson-esque bee stung era, The Rubbermand Man made stirred my soul when he offered the following real advice after learning that his wife was having less than the ideal employer-employee relationship with hoodrat homie / hairstylist, Shekinah.

“The way I see it is this: either you can accept your salary and you can create that boundary between friend and employee, or you can be a full-time friend for free.”

Since materializing on our radar, Joe Budden has been linked to several video models and Tahiry hasn’t hesitated to spill raw emotion about their on-again off-again status. In this latest installment of Joe’s ever-honest and beloved video clips, this couple (who seem as if they may make-up sooner than later) discusses courtship, delves into the ills of their past and bicker about what’s to come. It’s clear, however, that Mr. Mood Muzik wants to remain close to his ex-lady but struggles with building the romance any further.

The Kaaaaaang and his family dressed the parts of ogres at his K.I.N.G. Christmas Giveaway on Tuesday to show that its what’s in a person’s heart that counts the most. The “Spaghetti Junction of emotion” (those are the Kang’s descriptive words, not mine) that is T.I. And Tiny: The Family Hustle has quickly secured spot numero uno as my favorite family show!

After being assured on last night’s episode that he is indeed a member of the Zulu tribe, super precocious 7-year-old King stole the scene by asking “I know I’m Black, but can I have a White woman?” to which T.I. responded “Yes, you can have a White woman.” View the full episode after the jump.

The Kang’s loyal subjects weren’t very pleased with the way his promo run (watch the clip below) on The Wendy Williams Show unfolded last week. In a video blog uploaded after the show aired Wendell directly addressed the all too awkward interview.

“The reality show starts out with him in prison talking to Tiny at home,” said Williams. “What part of ‘you are an ex-con’ doesn’t he understand? I get Middle America, I get him trying to change his image but he should have thought about all that three arrest ago.”

She continued: “I like T.I., I like his wife Tiny but you can’t have it both ways, sir. You go on The View and other shows and give it up. But what is it, I’m too familiar with you and so you don’t want to really give it up here? You gave my booking department a hard time but you were the one who wanted to get on the show very badly, might I add.”

“And life has gone on” is my new response for shit I don’t care to discuss. Thanks Cliff!
