The family hustle was stronger than ever last night (February 2) at the 2012 fashion presentation for T.I.’s clothing brand Akoo in Atlanta.  Hometown favorites Keri Hilson, Killer Mike, Future, Cynthia Bailey and Polow Da Don had a front row view of models working the runway, showcasing designs from the clothing line at the Kevin Hart hosted event.

While the drama between Tiny’s squabbling friends on last night’s episode of T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle was faking than whatever shit she had injected into her top lip during her Bart Simpson-esque bee stung era, The Rubbermand Man made stirred my soul when he offered the following real advice after learning that his wife was having less than the ideal employer-employee relationship with hoodrat homie / hairstylist, Shekinah.

“The way I see it is this: either you can accept your salary and you can create that boundary between friend and employee, or you can be a full-time friend for free.”

The Kang’s loyal subjects weren’t very pleased with the way his promo run (watch the clip below) on The Wendy Williams Show unfolded last week. In a video blog uploaded after the show aired Wendell directly addressed the all too awkward interview.

“The reality show starts out with him in prison talking to Tiny at home,” said Williams. “What part of ‘you are an ex-con’ doesn’t he understand? I get Middle America, I get him trying to change his image but he should have thought about all that three arrest ago.”

She continued: “I like T.I., I like his wife Tiny but you can’t have it both ways, sir. You go on The View and other shows and give it up. But what is it, I’m too familiar with you and so you don’t want to really give it up here? You gave my booking department a hard time but you were the one who wanted to get on the show very badly, might I add.”
