Power Bottom du jour Soulja Boy is sparing no expense in kicking his 21st birthday off in opulent hood rich fashion. But like the day Lisa Wu Hartwell made the decision to walk of out of Keith Sweat he’ll live to regret it.

Soulja Boy doesn’t know the meaning of the word recession — because TMZ has learned, the 21-year-old rapper is dropping $55 MILLION on a new private jet.

A member of Soulja’s management team tells us … the kid bought himself a G5 jet as a birthday present to himself this week.

The jet cost $35 mil … but that’s just the beginning. We’re told the birthday boy is dropping an additional $20 million to pimp out his ride with all sorts of cool stuff … like 12 custom Italian leather seats, flat screen TVs, 4 liquor bars, a special travertine tiled floor, and Brazilian hardwood cabinets.

We’re told S.B. is also gutting the in-flight lavatory — and replacing it with a giant, LUXURIOUS bathroom. Oh, he’s also giving the jet a custom paint job … to include his logo.

And if that’s not enough for someone’s 21st — we’re told Soulja’s also spending $300,000 to throw himself a blowout birthday party at a Miami nightclub tonight … and Dwight Howard, Bow Wow, and Sean Kingston are all expected to attend.

I’m conceited.” If that hook wasn’t cliché-ridden enough for you, Soulja Boy proceeds to snatch T-Pain’s now discarded vocoder to rinse and repeat his narcissistic lines.

As for that fuck bloggers line and threats of getting robbed, Sheree Whitfield trying to school somebody on the repo man sounds more believable.

Perhaps DeAndre is feeling himself ‘cause he knows Remy Ma’s last parole hearing was unsuccessful so she can’t pistol whip him for jocking her swag. He still better watch his ass, though. It won’t be much longer before Afeni Shakur slaps the stupid out of him for that Juice remake.

I have my own strong opinion about the decision of Soulja Boy to star in an Atlanta-revival of classic 90’s film Juice, but the resiliency he has displayed in recent history makes me sincerely salute his efforts.

Following the March 2011 death of his younger brother  he had every right to take an extended vacation from the entertainment world, yet the 20-year-old is persevering by focusing on his craft and connecting with fans. As much as I may want to shade DeAndre Way its not going to happen. Not today at least.

I would be fronting in the worst way if I didn’t give Souljah Boy his just due  for the business acumen he has displayed throughout his career, especially pertaining to capitalizing off social networking and viral popularity.

I just hope the 20-year-old is smart enough to invest all that ringtone and YouTube partner money in other ventures outside of music because his creative well (which was only about a quarter full to begin with) is running dry.

I guess I should also mention that if this were some Lil’ B rare art I would be all over it. That’s right people, I’m apart of the problem and never the solution.
