Do you think Sanaa’s initial reaction was out of pocket or understandable?

Ebony Magazine: You recently got caught up in a nasty rumor with Kobe Bryant, that you were somehow the reason for his marriage ending after you two were seen in the same VIP section at Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Watch the Throne concert. I have to say I absolutely loved your response to the rumor on Twitter.

Sanaa Lathan: I probably shouldn’t have said that because I don’t discriminate when it comes to dating. I have dated all races and I believe you should be free to do whatever you want.

But I was so annoyed because I was having such a great time at the concert and Kobe happen to be standing next to me, and then all of a sudden I was tied to his break-up. That’s absurd, and I tweeted that in the moment, and I regret it.

But to each its own. It’s just funny that if it’s written people believe it, and even though I have said I have nothing to do with him, people are still saying when the baby is due?

Yeah, I’ve always had issues with women. Like, I love hard. If I’m in love, I love real hard and give the woman everything. The cast of “The Cleveland Show” took center stage at a lunch and table read for press on Thursday and performed a cast reading as a preview for what’s in store for viewers anticipating the spinoff of the infamous animated series, “Family Guy.” Although most of the main cast are African-American, Mike Henry, who is the voice of the main character in the series, is white. His response to any criticism that may come his way:

“I get asked about it a lot, but hopefully this won’t be a problem,” he said. “I’m a sensitive person, and I think Cleveland is a very positive person. I know where I’m coming from. He’s a sweet, well-intended nerd.”

As long as he don’t get too reckless, he should be okay.

Don’t you love it when everybody [no matter how irrelevant, be nice] shows up to events looking all shiny and new? The hater in me doesn’t and wishes that at least one lone soul would hit the red carpet with eye boogers and mouth crust so my job would be a little bit more easier but that wasn’t the case at last night’s Los Angeles premiere of ‘Seven Pounds.’ Maybe next time.

Before I  go any further let me first say that nobody better make any harsh comments about Sanaa. She will release a “blogs are the root of all evil” statement [with a preface written by Gabrielle Union] to Essence.com quicker than Tameka Foster and Lisa Wu Hartwell combined. And you know I’m telling the truth.

Sanaa opted to go green at the grand opening of the SLS Hotel on Wednesday. What’s your verdict?

I decided to take a quick break from my Saturday morning cleaning chores [1] to check out some of my favorite blogs to see what I’ve missed over the holiday and spotted the above clip of KeyLoLo’s sister [I purposely left out the quotation marks today] Deewana Cole talking to members of the razzi in Los Angeles. During her time in the spotlight Sanaa Lathan and her bodyguard [read: cousin Mike Mike] accidentally bumps the queen and her response is priceless.

There was an assassination attempt on First Lady Diamond in Atlanta on Saturday night but Da Brat saved her life by serving as a human shield.

Celebrities scrambled for the exits early Saturday morning when gunshots rang out at an Atlanta party hosted by Jermaine Dupri and Sean “Diddy” Combs. A security guard suffered minor injuries when his arm was grazed by a bullet but no one else was hurt.

“I’m sad this incident happened because it interrupted a beautiful and loving party. But I’m happy none of my people or friends got hurt. And the party continues,” Dupri told People.

Held at Club Dreams, the bash kicked off Dupri’s third annual So So Def Summerfest Weekend, and was attended by Usher, Nelly, Gabrielle Union, Regina King, Larenz Tate and approximately 3,000 others.

The festivities turned ugly around 3:30 a.m. when guests reportedly balked at being charged an additional fee by security to enter the VIP section, said DeKalb County police spokesman Marcus Hodge. That’s when a male patron pulled out a gun and started firing away. Police emptied the venue but no arrests have been made. [source]
