Good news for those of you who have been eagerly anticipating Carmen Bryan‘s second book. All four of you.
Nas’ former girlfriend and mother to daughter Destiny offered her thoughts on the Queensbridge rapper, his bromance with Jay-Z, his ex-wife Kelis and more in a recent “Ask Me Anything” session while teasing the follow up to her 2007 tell-all on Twitter this week.
“I didn’t didn’t realize you and Jay were serious about each other. I thought it was just a fling,” one of her followers tweeted. “Wars don’t start over flings,” Bryan began. “There’s no doubt Jay-Z excited the world, however, I’m the girl that excited Jay-Z.”
The celebrating couple continued their night out on the town at the Zing Vodka Post Grammy Party held at Hollywood’s Supperclub, where Breezy served as host. Escorted by their security team, the duo departed the event around 2:30 a.m.

The veteran rapper jogged the memories of fans by performing classic cuts off his earlier albums before presenting fresh selections from his latest studio album ‘Life Is Good’ at the Rock The Bells festival in Mountain View, California over the weekend.
“If I was ever to be a guy who threw a tour together, it would be this type of tour,” he explained to Rolling Stone. “It wouldn’t be anything pop; it would be everyone who claims hip-hop gets down on the stage, so you get the best show in the world. I couldn’t do it no other way.”

Guess ‘American Idol’ does have enough money for Mimikins after all.
Earlier this week, FOX made the official announcement that Mariah Carey is your next ‘American Idol’ judge. Her salary is reported to be at least $12 million, possibly as high as $17 million. That would make her the highest paid reality show judge on television, besting Britney Spears‘ salary for ‘The X Factor’ by a cool $2 milli. Dem babies’ college fund is the biz-naz.

I showed up at Bagatelle last night to cover Nas‘ album release party for ‘Life Is Good’ on behalf of Crunk + Disorderly prepared for only one thing – unlimited Moët. As an Oklahoma girl who just relocated to New York City six weeks ago, I’ve never been to an industry party and the biggest celebrity I’ve ever been within ten feet of is Toby Keith. So I decided to go with an open mind, a fully charged phone, and a two drink maximum just to keep it classy.
I arrived exactly at 10:00, made it inside by 10:30, and was half-drunk by 10:45. Girls dressed like Kardashians stood at the entrance, smiling and holding trays of miniature bottles of Moët. Two drink maximum? Whoops. Yes I sure will take one, thank you miss. And yes I sure will take another. Y’all are so sweet.
Waiters buzzed around the room offering appetizers I’ve never seen before, but since I didn’t want to drink on an empty stomach (and rarely turn down a snack) I ate them anyway.
Everyone there seemed to know each other but people were surprisingly friendly, breaking into big smiles when I told them I was present on behalf of Crunk + Disorderly. “Really?” said one girl, motioning to her friend. “I love that blog!” I smiled and kept drinking.

Nas‘ collaboration with late friend Amy Winehouse premiered on BBC’s Radion 1 on Tuesday night (July 3). Produced by Salaam Remi, “Cherry Wine” will appear on the rapper’s tenth studio album, ‘Life is Good’, which is slated for a July 17th release.
“It’s a bittersweet feeling to do something with her now that she’s not here,” Nas said about the jazz influenced track. ”I’m happy . . . the sweet part is that we do have the music, fans have new music from her. The bitter part is that she’s no longer here to really give it to us and to really live her music and for us to see her smile and hear her voice.”
