Star Tracks: Mary J. Blige Visits The Wendy Williams Show

mjb Star Tracks: Mary J. Blige Visits The Wendy Williams Show

What more can I say to describe Mary J. Blige’s appearance on The Wendy Williams Show that wasn’t already addressed in my chat with YoungSinick this evening?

I know she’s not that awkward in person. I bet she be cursing and shit, trying to shoot pool. I love her. Like, if she’s friends with Tamar Braxton you know she can talk. She hangs with Taraji P. Henson and Tamar now. Said she hasn’t seen Lil’ Kim in years. Shade says she rolls with the wealthy and relevant. Let me stop before a Kim stan swoops in. Mary probably doesn’t wanna be bothered with Kim, though. Still talking about Biggie like it’s 1995 and she just escaped Faith Evans’ wrath.

And that’s what friends are for. Peep a snippet Willona Woods’ chat with Wendell after jump.

Mary J. Blige “Confused” By Oscar Snub

jm Mary J. Blige Confused By Oscar Snub

Check out more flicks of the 9-time Grammy Awards winner on the set of ‘Watch What Happens Live’ below.

Under normal circumstances the Original Song category for the Oscars sees four to five nominations, but only two contenders were announced this year — “Real in Rio” from “Rio” and “Man or Muppet” from “The Muppets” — leaving tracks from Elton John and Lady Gaga, Pink, will.i.am, Elvis Costello, Zooey Deschanel and Mary J. Blige out of the race.

“It hit hard. It was kinda rough. I must say,” MJB told ‘Watch What Happens Live!’ host Andy Cohen on Tuesday night about her song “The Living Proof,” for the film “The Help” being snubbed.

“I’m confused. I don’t know what to say except for I just gotta keep doing what I do and look at this as a battery in my back to keep striving and be thankful for the lesson, count it as a blessing.”

“I think the lesson is to just keep going. Don’t let things make you spiral down,” she said. “The positive side is that there’s obviously something better” for me.

Mary J. Blige: “If I Can Move People In Darkness, I Can Move People In Light”

Mary J. Blige wants to show the world that everyone can prevail life’s challenges with the release of her new album My Life II: The Journey Continues.

mjb1 Mary J. Blige: If I Can Move People In Darkness, I Can Move People In Light“When everyone responded to such a dark, kind of suicidal, cry for help, when it was time to turn my life around I didn’t hesitate. I thought if I can move people in darkness, I can move people in light,’ she told London’s morning show Daybreak on Tuesday. “And that is a responsibility, I don’t want a bunch of people following me to my death.”

“The thing is this, we don’t know what someone is dealing with, we only see the surface. We don’t know what’s in her mind, we don’t know how deep her demons were or what her situation was,” Blige explained while speaking on the July 2011 passing of singer Amy Winehouse.

“Everyone doesn’t get this lucky, to say I choose life. Sometimes it is too late. When I felt myself drifting away, I said, ‘Wait, wait, wait!’ I actually felt that. I thank God I got an opportunity to see myself drifting away and I called on help.”

“Everyone doesn’t like to go to another human being because they are ashamed and guilty. But I feel like I have been embarrassed and ashamed all my life so why not ask for help?”
