Jordin Sparks gives me hope. If I can end my love affair with Tampico mimosas and lemon pepper wings (fried hard, please!) I too can use all of my fawhness to make myself blog relevant by bearding for pop music’s next generation. Until then, nothing.
The 23-year-old singer joined boyfriend Jason Derulo at a party celebrating his YRB magazine cover at Couture in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday (May 8). Their cuteness is quite overpowering. They look like they should be working side-by-side at Chik-Fil-A. How incredibly adorable.
Also in attendance: Emeli Sande, Andra Day and Tanisha Thomas. Pop off!

So, the bootleg man has been busy. In the past, a star’s death has helped propelled box office returns but that wasn’t the case for Whitney Houston‘s final movie.
On its opening weekend ‘Sparkle’ took in an estimated $12 million at the box office, according to estimates provided by the film’s distributor. It opened on 2,244 screens, grossing $4.5 million on Friday and $200,00 less the following day.
Bobbi Kristina And Nick Gordon Arrive At ‘Sparkle’ Premiere
Singer/actress Jordin Sparks will make her big screen debut this Friday in ‘Sparkle’, starring alongside the late Whitney Houston in her final starring role. For Sparks, working with the iconic singer was a dream come true but learning her death was an absolute nightmare.
“Whitney’s gone,” Sparks recalls. “I lost all feeling. I couldn’t move, I couldn’t say anything. I don’t think I was breathing. I still have moments where it hits me and it’s like, she;s not here. There’s this void.”
‘Sparkle’ casts Houston as mother of three singing daughters trying to make it in 1960′s Motown. Tika Sumpter and Carmen Ejogo round out the talented trio.
It’s been six months since her passing, but for her co-stars, Houston’s legacy lives on.
“Whitney seems like she’s one of the people to be real with, not ‘Hollywood.” Mike Epps told Celebuzz. “I would talk to her about real stuff, life.”
