Meagan Good made it rain with your tithe money while attending a photo call for ‘Think Like A Man Too’ held at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Saturday (June 7). What’s your verdict on her bible study approved fashion statement?
The actress (we’re not doning this today, stop laughing) was joined by her film co-stars Taraji P. Henson, Michael Ealy, Gabrielle Union, Kevin Hart, Terrence Jenkins, Regina Hall, Romany Malco, Jerry Ferrara, La La Anthony and Gary Owens.
The upcoming sequel to the 2012 hit movie inspired by Steve Harvey Mr. Hightower‘s book, Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man, follows the couples as they all return for a Las Vegas wedding.
Between playing herself on the scripted television series ‘Being Mary Jane’ and blocking Siovaughn Wade’s supporters on social media, Gabrielle Union has enough stress in her life. But she isn’t too mentally depleted to acknowledge the importance of having an iron clad prenup in place before she ties the knot with NBA star Dwyane Wade.
“For this marriage, the biggest difference between this and the last marriage will be a prenup. At my insistence,” she bluntly explained on The Arsenio Hall Show earlier this week.
While the 41-year-old actress accepted Wade’s proposal in December after discovering the 32-year-old athlete had fathered a child with another woman, she isn’t too starry-eyed in love not to take into account some valuable lessons she learned from her first marriage.
“When you have your own stuff, you don’t need to worry about anyone else’s stuff,” Gabrielle told Arsenio. “So everyone should go into the relationship knowing, ‘I’m here for you and you’re here for me.’ And the reality is I’ve never seen Dwyane balance a checkbook, so I gotta protect my stuff. It’s the wave of the future.”
I love Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union as a celebrity couple just as much as the next chick scanning over the monthly ‘Girl, You Better Suck That Meat From The Back To Keep Your Black Man’ article in Essence at the checkout line but this staged photo op is no more realistic as K. Michelle’s latest weave closure.
Photographers were on hand as the smiling duo frolicked around the beach in Malibu, California on Saturday. The Miami Heat star, 31, recently admitted that the couple took a break during the NBA Finals. How convenient.
“I’m going to tell you something personal,” D. Wade said when Jay Leno asked him about his relationship with his 40-year-old girlfriend on the ‘Tonight Show’ last week.
“Celebrity relationships is very hard. This was a big year for us in our relationship from the standpoint of she was shooting her show ‘Being Mary Jane.’ I was dealing with my injuries, trying to win a championship. We kind of took a step back. We supported each other, but we took a step back for a little while. At the end of the day, we came back together and said, ‘Listen, we want to continue this. We want to try to continue to get better each day.’ She’s been with me and I’ve been with her all summer long. We’re going strong now.”
A lovely Keri Hilson traveled outside of the wig crypt’s jurisdiction to attend the ‘Riddick’ premiere on Thursday (August 29) in Los Angeles.
Ensuring that everyone — okay, just the girl who sold her a ticket at the box office — noticed her new hairstyle, the singer executed the “dip and fall back” pose made popular first by the earliest group of hood chicks discovered by scientists to have their income tax checks successfully flipped by their dope man boyfriends.
Well played baby hair, homie. We still could never ride together to the club though.
Below, check out pictures of Gabrielle Union rocking a Miu Miu black and red velvet panel dress for her date night with boyfriend Dwyane Wade at the 70th Venice International Film Festival. Looking great kids!
Essence magazine celebrated the achievements Oprah Winfrey, Alfre Woodard, Gabrielle Union, Mara Brock-Akil, Quvenzhané Wallis and Naomie Harris at its annual Black Women In Hollywood Awards Luncheon at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Thursday afternoon (February 21).
The event recognizes the ‘Power of Our Presence’ by spotlighting the stellar accomplishments of African-American female performers and creators in film and television.
Experience the event vicariously by clicking through the gallery and by watching the recorded livestream inside.
Gabrielle Union won’t sit here and listen to your lies. I said that in my best NeNe Leakes’ voice circa ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ season 4, by the way.
Quicker than you can type “how you get him is how you’ll lose him” in the comments section of a blog, the actress took to Twitter this afternoon to clap back at rumors that her man Dwyane Wade has been bedding one particular groupie while she is away.
