Recently promotion for the BET Awards ’13 has been about as quiet as Olivia’s career, so we were hoping they hadn’t secretly cancelled it. Thankfully, President of Music Programming and Specials Stephen G. Hill heard our cries and blessed us with a sign.

Host Chris Tucker along with the leader of the Golden Lords Chris Brown, Kendrick Lamar, Tamar Braxton, and Cadillac Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Charlie Wilson were all present at the Icon Ultra Lounge in Los Angeles yesterday to share details about this year’s show at a press conference.

This week, Bow Wow and Chris Tucker laughed it up while taping an episode of 106 & Park. Stack that paper, Shad.

The wisecracking 40-year-old actor will return to the big screen for the first time in five years in the new David O. Russell drama ‘Silver Linings Playbook.’

Back in 2006 when he signed on to star in ‘Rush Hour 3′ for a whopping $25 million, Tucker made history for negotiating Hollywood’s highest base salary. Despite dismal reviews and a killer $140 million budget, the film was far from being the projected box office smash.

His financial blessings from his ‘Rush Hour’ paydays would later turn into a curse when he end up owing a staggering $12 million in back taxes to Uncle Sam, leading to foreclosure papers filed against his $6 million waterfront estate in Lake Apopka, Florida. Tucker teased about his misfortune in a stand-up routine last year, joking to audiences “That’s the last time I let Wesley Snipes help me out with my taxes.”

New movie, new tour, and hopefully a new accountant – Chris Tucker is finally getting back to business.

The comedian was spotted in Black heaven — World Star Hip Hop — this morning promoting his ‘Guess Who’s Back’ comedy tour. After news dropped that you owe the IRS $11.5 million we knew you’d be back sooner or later Chris. I’m just saying.

The legendary comedian/actor known for refereeing fights in the hood is also confirmed to be returning to the big screen for the upcoming film ‘Last Friday.’

Ice Cube tells the Rickey Smiley radio show, “He’s given us every indication that he’s gonna be in it . . .  I’m almost finished with the script. So as soon as we finish the script, fast motion on it.”
