Evelyn Lozada Files For Divorce From Chad Johnson After 41 Days, Rep Confirms

Evelyn Lozada has filed for divorce from husband of 41 days Chad Johnson, following his Saturday night arrest for allegedly head butting her.

Moments after Evelyn, 36, filed for divorce, Chad, 34, released a statement on his website regarding his recent domestic abuse arrest saying, “I would like to wish Evelyn well and will never say anything bad about her because I truly love her to death.”

He adds, “To all the fans and supporters I have disappointed, you have my sincerest apologies. I will stay positive and get through this tough period in my life.”

Evelyn claims in her divorce filing, submitted this morning in Florida, that her marriage is “irretrievably broken.” The couple exchanged vows on July 4.

“It is with great sadness and much trepidation that I release this statement addressing the domestic violence incident that happened this past Saturday. I am deeply disappointed that Chad has failed to take responsibility for his actions and made false accusations against me, it is my sincere hope that he seeks the help he needs to overcome his troubles. Domestic violence is not okay and hopefully my taking a stand will help encourage other women to break their silence as well. I’m grateful to my family, friends and fans for the outpouring of support during this difficult time,” Evelyn said in a statement released to press outlets.

VH1 Pulls The Plug On ‘Ev And Ocho’ Reality Show

You’ve got to give it to Chad Johnson on remaining true to his word. On the season premiere episode of HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks: Miami Dolphins’ the 34-year-old wide receiver vowed to director of security for the Miami Dolphins Stu Weinstein that he would be arrested.

“Stu, I promise I’m getting arrested when we’re off,” Johnson jokingly said on camera. Weinstein responded to Johnson’s claims by saying, “Call me I’ll come get you.”

I told you not to trust people whose teeth were whiter than their eyeballs.

Johnson was arrested after police found wife Evelyn Lozada with lacerations on her forehead. She told police that she confronted her husband after finding a receipt for condoms in their car, which turned into a heated argument. She later fled to a neighbor’s house, where she called 911.

Since becoming engaged to Chad Oochie Wally Wally Oochie Bang Bang and gaining future step children, Ev is no longer wanting to be about that ratchet life! With a new book titled Inner Circle and a reality television in the works, she instead would rather be viewed in a positive light.

“It’s unfortunate the world doesn’t get to see every side, but I’m also so thankful that you know God blessed me with another show, which is the ‘Ev & Ocho’ show, cause you get to see a totally different person of Evelyn,” she said about the new series.

Evelyn Lozada, pictured with the always flawless Derek J, didn’t skimp out on the details of her sex life during her time in the hot seat at Kandi Koated Nights last week.

The ‘Basketball Wives’ feisty Latina revealed that although she has tossed a salad or two back in her day in order to skip line at the club (okay I made up the last part but it’s probably not that far from the truth), future husband Chad Ochocinco isn’t a fan of the sex act.

When asked about her concerns on Chad remaining faithful, she told host Kandi Burruss that a man is going to cheat if he wants to, regardless of what his woman may try to do: “I care. I’m not going to say that I don’t care, but I’m not going to stress myself to a point that I’m trying to do everything to stop him.”
