Fish don’t fry in the kitchen, and Bobbi Kristina won’t get her first inheritance until two years from now. So, it’s reality television time to keep the cash rolling in for the Houston family.
A Lifetime original series, ‘The Houstons: On Our Own’ will beam onto the small screen October 24th at 9p/8c with Gary Houston making it clear to Krissi’s boo thang, “no one knew that from a God son you would turn into a boyfriend.”
Hours before Bobbi Kristina made her acting debut on ‘For Better or Worse’, show creator Tyler Perry took to his website to voice his support.
“Ok, with my heart and soul I will help and protect this child, just as I tried to do for Whitney. So with that said, one thing I knew that Krissi would need after Whitney’s death was a safe place to grieve. So when she told me she wanted to act I said I would help,” writes Perry in a community message to his supporters.
He continued: “If she had said she wanted to be a doctor I would have tried to help her get into the best schools. But because she said acting, that was easy for me. I thought, ‘this is great’. This way I could have her on the show, while at the same time be there for her and help her walk through this grief.”
Is all well in the land of milk and lilac v-neck sweaters?
In a message posted to his website titled “Leave This Baby Alone And Stop The Lies Please,” Tyler Perry refutes a Radar Online report that Bobbi Kristina walked off the set ‘For Better or Worse’ and quit. The director writes:
“After Whitney’s funeral, Krissi and I spent a long time talking about her goals and dreams. She said she wanted to act. That’s when I decided to write her into “For Better Or Worse”. I thought that there would be no better way for me to help her move through the grieving than by giving her something to focus on.”
A representative from the Houston Family reportedly told website Rumor Fix that gossip Bobbi Kristina has reached a verbal agreement to film a reality series is “absolutely not true.”
That means she will not be coming to a Sweaty Black Club near you to co-host Thirsty Thursdays with Draya Michele and one of Drake’s ex-girlfriend. Don’t believe the party promoters on Twitter.
Radar Online reported earlier this week that Bobbi Kris met with cable television network honchos to discuss the would-be controversial show set to shed light on what daily life is like for the 19-year-old after the sudden death of her famous mother Whitney Houston.
Bobbi Kristina’s boyfriend Nick Gordon was also speculated to play a major role in the reality series.
Bobbi Kristina has reportedly landed a reoccurring role on the TBS sitcom ‘For Better Or For Worse.’ The sudden career boost courtesy of family friend Tyler Perry comes at a delicate time in the 19-year-old’s life. Will you be tuning in to support Bobbi Kris?
Sister 2 Sister – Tyler, who spoke at Whitney’s funeral and allowed the Houston family to use his private jet to bring her body back to New Jersey, has offered Bobbi Kristina a recurring role on his successful TBS sitcom “For Better or Worse,” according to Straight From the A.
Bobbi Kristina will be featured in a recurring role as the daughter of one of the stylist’s in the beauty shop owned by TV character Angela (Tasha Smith).
Whitney Houston pre-recorded her performance for Good Morning America yesterday afternoon in Central Park, Her daughter Bobbi Kristina was also there, supporting her mother on stage during the set. And . . . it cracked.
Midway through her set, Whitney voice gave out quicker than Aretha Franklin’s composure at a craft services table. She then proceeded to blame the voice loss on her being interviewed by Oprah some time before the performance. Some of the audience seemed to be disappointed, but nonetheless happy she was there and healthy. I know that Whitney has been through a lot, and who doesn’t like a comeback story, but really? REALLY? Someone should have looked at Whitney when her voice cracked on the GMA stage today and say “Didn’t We Almost Have It All?”
