“Until y’all see us sitting together, don’t ask me about no OutKast. My kids stay over at Uncle Dre’s or go to his mom’s house. He and his dad come by to watch football and shoot pool. Only so many times you can say, “Aint nothing wrong.”"
– Big Boi chops it up about the possibility of an OutKast reunion, the duo developing their fashion sense and more in Vibe magazine’s February/March issue.
“Good or bad, someone sees a public person and they don’t know you. They only know about you. Based upon what they know about you, they make a judgment on what is good for you, but they don’t know you. The whole idea of he’s a preacher and she’s this, it blew my mind how many people had an opinion when God is the only one who directs our story. So, he knows where our story is going to go. They didn’t see how she fit or how I fit in her script, but I’m saying, ‘Wait a minute. When the last time you went before God? Before you gave me this note, before you posted that comment, did you pray?’”

In an interview with Power 106 in Los Angeles, Big Boi revealed that he is hoping to reunite with Andre 3000 in 2014 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of OutKast southern fried classic hip-hop debut album ‘Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik.’
”It’s 20 years, man. We started out at 15, 16 years old,” he explained. “We made our first album when we were 17 years old. Twenty-five million records later, seven Grammys, I feel great.”
My all-time favorite play cousin Big Boi visited the FADER Magazine offices while in New York City promoting the release of his brand new electronic-yet-soulfully-funky solo album ‘Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors‘. The epic title is derived from a book his late grandmother planned to write to airing the family dirty’s laundry.
Below, Sir Lucious Leftfoot opens up with writer Naomi Zeichner about what his relationship with longtime friend Andre 3000 is like now.
This past summer you shared a picture of you and Andre together on Father’s Day. Now that you’re both grown, with families of your own, what’s your relationship like? We cool. We talk all the time. He comes by my house, our kids play video games together, we sit in the pool house and play pool and play music. We don’t report on it every time we hook up, so people don’t know. I took that picture on Father’s Day just as a gift to the fans, cause they ain’t seen us in the same room in so long. Me and Dre can’t even go anywhere together in public because it’s a fiasco. As much as we’d like to go and sit down and have dinner together, that shit won’t work at all. Never. The only place we might go, and we can’t even go there no more cause we shut it down, is the strip club. For real. So we usually be at my house, his mom’s house, his house. But mostly my house.
A$AP Rocky And More Hit The VLADR Album Release Party
Crunkland’s favorite ATLien Big Boi’s spaceship hit a snag after landing at the 2011 Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival held at Golden Gate Park on Sunday in San Francisco.
“Unfortunately, Big Boi had to cancel his performance due to the fact that his DJ had a computer malfunction. They tried to fix it but it got too close to Erykah Badu’s set time and Big Boi wanted to respect that and his fans. Dave Chappelle was on hand to entertain the audience,” said Outside Lands publicist Ken Weinstein. “Big Boi and his team were the utmost professional given the technical difficulties at hand, we look forward to working with him in the future.”
Disappointed attendees were instead treated to a performance from comedian Dave Chappelle and a promise from General Patton that he would make up things up during his next trip out to The Yay Area.
Big Boi’s Uncle Darnell is a coooooold piece of work.
Both his height and disposition were a little intimidating when I was first introduced to him a couple weeks back, but after he along with other family members shared the rare type of warm southern hospitality that can only be traced back to our part of the map I felt as if I had been apart of the family for years. Shout out to Uncle Trick!
Remember going to cookouts when you were younger and having that one uncle who would always have a drink in his hand and a cigarette somehow barely hanging on the tip of his lip? Yep, that Uncle D. Minus the cig. A charming, intriguing fellow, indeed. He’s got stories for days and hell of a way to offer a play-by-play. He lives in the community, so he understands its pulse and can relate to damn near everyone who calls the place home — young and old. Pretty much, Darnell is Savannah, Georgia.
My cousin Big Boi spend a fye ass evening down at the bowling alley with his friends and family in the video for “General Patton.” Sir Lucious Leftfoot: The Son of Chico Dusty bumping out your speakerboxx on July 6th!
