Elton John’s glitter gala wasn’t the only stop for some famous faces. Celebrities [and Amber Rose] flocked to the Sunset Tower for Vanity Fair’s Annual Oscar Party to mingle. They didn’t let poor Rudolph join in any reindeer games. The fuck she thought she was at, an after-party for the EBT Hip-Hop Awards? Lost in a fairytale.

Buzz Notes: Hip-Hop Moms To Be Honored With Humanitarian Award

mama Buzz Notes: Hip Hop Moms To Be Honored With Humanitarian Award

Anyone partly responsible for conceiving the coon goblin, Lil Weezy, should not be honored in any shape or form. But, I digress.

Jacinda Carter [Lil Wayne's mom], Aliyah Najm [T-Pain] and Loraine Smith [Go-Go], known as the triumvirate “Hip Hop Moms”, will be honored next week with a “Humanitarian Award in Music and Television” at the “Queens of Our Communities” celebration. What makes this award so special [I'm laughing while typing this] is that they are the first group of people to receive such an accolade.

The NAACP truly missed out on being the first to give such a honor to these glamorous, upstanding women.

The “Say Something Nice” Challenge

Everybody and their parole officer is talking about Jennifer Hudson’s performance of the National Anthem at Super Bowl XLIII but the only thing on my mind is this shit right here. I don’t know what your Uncle Bruce was trying to get accomplished by frolicking around on stage like a washed up Chippendale dancer but . . . yeah. The crazy thing about it is the media fucking loved it. I don’t know, maybe I watched something entirely different then everybody else?

Saving Grace

The Ozone Awards are usually a candy shop for fuckery but this year wasn’t as fulfilling as I thought. Thank heavens Lil’ Boosie was there because if he failed to show I wouldn’t have wasted my time posting one single picture. But by his stripes we are all healed!

This proud Black man once said “All the hoes suck on my meat like I’m a fucking swisher sweet.”

Look over your shoulder Beyonce, you got some serious competition. Click here for pictures from the red carpet and show. Peep video of rapper Trae serving Mike Jones with a two piece after the jump.

I’m Just Saying . . .

T-Pain’s status as urban music’s most frequent collaborator helped him nab a leading five BET Award nominations.

Kanye West and Keyshia Cole received three nominations, while Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys and newcomer Flo Rida received a pair each. The nominations were to be announced later Thursday.

While T-Pain has his own hits, including the chart-topper “Buy U a Drank,” the singer and his electronically manipulated voice are often found on other people’s songs. He received nominations for best collaboration for his work with Chris Brown (”Kiss Kiss”), West (”Good Life”) and Flo Rida (”Low”), while he was also nominated twice in the video of the year category.

“T-Pain is everywhere,” BET Executive Vice President Stephen Hill told The Associated Press. “He’s got five nominations, none of them for his own work.”

“He’s had a great year; he’s introduced a new element,” Hill said, referring to T-Pain’s vocoder-assisted vocals that have been replicated by other artists such as Snoop Dogg.

While the nominees include many hitmakers, Hill said the awards also celebrate those who aren’t yet in the mainstream, such as R&B singers Estelle and Raheeem DeVaughn, who each received a nomination.

“Our voting panel picked not just the hits but folks who are really talented who are just now getting a shot,” he said. [source]

Remember children, this is BET we are talking about. At the end of the day . . . let me quit while I’m ahead. I’m not messing up my ad revenue dollars over this.
