Where’s Neffie And Frankie?


R.Kelly’s pissed tour made its way to Houston over the weekend. Hooray! Keyshia Cole and J. Holiday hosted events at different clubs in the area while Robert was out doing God knows what with somebody’s child. Since I can’t look at J. Holiday without breaking out in tears [1] here are the flicks from KeyLoLo’s shingding.

Oh and before it slips my mind, I will never forgive Nikki for saying that Amina’s mouth area looks like she just finished giving head to an exhaust pipe in the video for “Shoulda Let You Go.” Never.

[1] Son got himself a new set of bottom teeth. I liked the old piano keys one better. I’m not hating though, it was a first check well spent.

Pimp C Found Dead In LA Hotel

Pimp C, one-half of the veteran Houston rap group UGK, was found dead in an upscale hotel on Tuesday. He was 33.

Here is the official statement from Jive Records:

It is with great sadness that Jive Records announces the passing of Chad “Pimp C” Butler, a member of the celebrated rap duo UGK (Underground Kingz). Jive Records’ President and CEO Barry Weiss states: “We mourn the unexpected loss of Chad. He was truly a thoughtful and kind-hearted person. He will be remembered for his talent and profound influence as a pioneer in bringing southern rap to the forefront. He will be missed and our prayers remain with his family and Bun B. I’ve known Chad since he was 18, and we loved him dearly and he was a cherished member of the Jive family.”

Born in Port Arthur, Texas, Butler’s father was a trumpet player who played professionally with Solomon Burke. Outside of his father, the 33-year old rapper’s influences varied, ranging from Bobby Bland, Jimmy McGriff, the 1960’s Motown artists to Run DMC. Butler met his inseparable partner Bernard “Bun B” Freeman in high school where they formed UGK. In 1992, the duo signed to Jive Records and went on release a total of eight albums for the label. They earned their highest achievement earlier this year when their most recent album, UGK (Underground Kingz), debuted in the number one position on the album pop chart. According to the New York Times, UGK “helped inspire a generation of Southern hip-hop stars, from OutKast to Lil Wayne.”

Bun B is not available for comment at this time.

I would’ve posted about this earlier but I stepped out for a minute. My prayers and condolences go out to his family and friends.

A planned auction of late R&B crooner Luther Vandross’ possessions reveals his taste for fine clothes and art.

Among the items for sale are wardrobe items and stage costumes, including Dolce & Gabbana fur pants, and red pants made of pony, the Newark (N.J.) Star-Ledger reported Sunday. And then there are the pink Versace snakeskin vest and purple Gucci snakeskin pants. [They could've left this entire paragraph out. - - Fresh]

Lucky fans will also have the chance to snap up the singer’s Cartier watches and diamond jewelry included in the catalog released by auctioneer Dawson & Nye.

Outside of wardrobe, Vandross also had fine taste in art and furnishings, the newspaper said. He owned a charcoal sketch by Picasso, Lalique glassware and animals, and art deco furniture.

More mundane items like Vandross’ driver’s license and high school class ring will also be on the block.

The paparazzi spotted Wino at 5:40am on Sunday morning walking around east London barefoot and wearing just a bra and a pair of jeans.

A source claims Amy had been partying at a friend’s house, and when she took to the streets was “mumbling something incomprehensible”.

The corner of a white package poking out of her red bra aparked suspicion about what state of mind she might be in, but according to Amy’s official spokesperson, she had simply “been asleep and heard a noise. She went outside to investigate”.

Now you know thats a damn lie. A Crackhead and sleep? It just doesn’t add up. Her publicist could have came up with something more believable than that.

For the safety and well-being of my fellow Americans I hope that Spicy Creole and Jay-Z [happy birthday] stay together for the long haul. Eff Black love, I’m just not trying to watch this broad on YouTube freestyling at Popeye’s drive thru in Houston like Notorious B.U.M.

Jim Jones showed his sensitive side when he visited 106 & Park on World’s AIDS day while talking about family members whose lives have been affected by the disease. [Try to ignore those two silly rabbits sitting on the coach in their church clothes. I love it when the hosts at BET "get serious", talking slow and shit.]
