Former “View” host Star Jones filed for divorce from her husband Al Reynolds, “Entertainment Tonight” is reporting.

Jones filed back on March 26. The couple married back in 2004.

She released a statement that reads: “Several years ago I made an error in judgment by inviting the media into the most intimate area of my life. A month ago I filed for divorce. The dissolution of a marriage is a difficult time in anyone’s life that requires privacy with one’s thoughts. Kanye West and his fiancé Alexis Phifer weren’t ever on the same level as Fantasia + Young Dro in my book but I always thought they complimented each other well. Not to mention she wasn’t as thirsty for attention as that Brooke girl he was smashing on a couple of years ago.

Word on the curb is that the couple have called it quits.

Sources close to the hip-hop star tell me that it was West who ended the engagement after revealing to Phifer: “I just don’t think it is going to work out anymore.”

The 30-year-old entertainer even asked for his ring back!

The often-controversial rapper/producer got engaged to Phifer while overseas in the fall of 2006.

The two met when Phifer worked as the assistant to West’s fulltime wardrobe stylist.

A graduate from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) in California, Phifer is working on a clothing line and has already designed some dresses that have been worn by artists like Lil’ Mo. [Insert side-eye. - - Fresh]

Sources close to the couple claim she was also helping West develop his forthcoming Pastelle clothing line. The Chicago-raised rapper had been dating Phifer on and off since 2002.

Robert from Day 26 + his boo Junebug
