Flashback Flicks! ‘Why Did I Get Married Too?’ Premiere

Those (alleged) days of cruising for boy trade at the park are a thing of the past! In his March 2012 cover story interview for Sister 2 Sister magazine, Tyler Perry reveals to the publication that he is crazy in love.

“I swear to you, I will be married and probably have kids before anybody knows it,”says Perry neither confirming or denying rumors that he’s engaged to gorgeous Ethiopian model Gelila Bekele.

“Listen, I’m very much in love. I’m very much in love. And she loves me. I don’t talk about it,” he says while remaining tight lipped on the subject of his personal life. “We don’t talk about it. And it’s just that if I give that up, I don’t have anything else.”

Tyler credits a visit to “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” where he talked about the abuse in his past, with his ability to open himself up more to people.

“It allowed me to feel like I wasn’t an awful person,” Tyler told S2S. “I wasn’t dirty. That I deserved to be loved and I can love.”

His appearance on “Oprah” also allowed him a chance to run into an old flame in Chicago that he might never have crossed paths with again otherwise.

“About four or five months ago, I ran into an ex of mine. We were crazy in love. It was crazy, crazy love between the two of us. It was insane,” Tyler said. “We had a conversation after the ‘Oprah’ thing and everything. And it was healing for both of us because I know that, had I not done the show, she and I probably would have never spoken again.” (source)

He Say: “I rock with her because a while ago I saw that even if we were together as a couple, she was still cool. We bonded because we come from the same moral fabric. With me being a man of integrity, I could recognize her great attributes and qualities. When you find those things, you celebrate them. They don’t exist everywhere.”

She Say: “We were planning on getting married in 2007, but we broke up. It was for the betterment of the relationship. We were together at the height of his career. It gave him a chance to see what this world had to offer and what he had [with me.]“

He Say: “The crazy thing about me and Key was, we talked on the phone for three or four months without ever meeting in person. We did the high school thing — we talked on the phone until the morning. We really got to know each other well before we met in person. She has morals and a big heart. Once we met, things happened fast . . . “

“From a male standpoint, I just think you’ve got to actually commit. She has to be the right one. If not, you won’t feel enough inside of you to give her everything you’ve got. If she’s the one and you feel it and hear it [from God], commit your mind, body and soul to make it work so you can be the man God wants you to be. That the only way you’ll make it work. People go through things.”

She Say: “I was kind of through with relationships. I didn’t feel like guys were mature enough. What made me gravitate toward Gib was his faith in God, more than anything. He seemed like a loving person. He talked a lot about his grandmother, who had passed away, and the things she instilled in him.”

He Say: “She was up-front and honest. I never had that before. I always [say to] people in early conversations, ‘Tell me about yourself.’ They always skip a story and try to come off squeaky clean. They tell me what they think I want to hear. She didn’t send her representative. She told me what she went through. She gave me A, B and C. She said, ‘Take it or leave it.’

She Say: “I didn’t want anyone telling him something about me. He doesn’t judge me on my past or anything I’ve done. He accepts me. The level of conversations I’ve had with Chad, there are some things my girlfriends don’t even know. I’m comfortable with him. If a man is in a high-profile position or just the average Joe Schmoe, women go through the same things, regardless of [his] status. If anything is going to happen, it will, whether he’s playing for the Patriots or working at a bank. No one is perfect. I can’t control him, and he can’t control me.”

Scheduled to begin taping in December, one man janitorial service DMX and his estranged wife Tashera Simmons have agreed to appear on upcoming VH1 reality show ‘Relationship Rehab’ in the hopes of getting their failed marriage back on track, TMZ reports. And just so you know, comparing their marriage to a bowl of Kibbles N’ Bits being kicked over during a drug raid at The Carter wouldn’t be very Christian like. God doesn’t like ugly.

The Simmons separated in July 2010 after 20 years and four kids together . . . yet they are still best friends, insists the source – and that’s why they want to give it another shot. We’re told DMX feels Tashera is “one of the only people [he] truly ever loved and has been down with him through thick and thin.”

The thin? DMX cheated on his wife left and right – and even fathered six children during his extra-marital conquests.

Love is a many splendored thing. And so the publicity that comes with it ain’t too shabby. Monica and husband Shannon Brown snuggled up inside the Georgia World Congress Center located in Atlanta on Saturday at the 20th Annual For Sisters Only Expo. Lil’ Rocko and Romelo also came along for the ride. What an adorable bunch!

Sherri Shepherd and Joy Behar will have a lot to talk about next week on ABC’s The View.

Following Behar’s surprise wedding to her boyfriend of 29 years on Thursday, Shepherd tied the knot with her fiancé, Lamar Sally, at the Fairmont Hotel in Chicago—Shepherd’s hometown.

While Behar did not attend (her twitter merely says “Gone fishing.” in regards to her honeymoon plans), their View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck was one of Shepherd’s eight bridesmaids.

Other bridesmaids include Dancing With the Stars contestant Niecy Nash and Community’s Yvette Nicole Brown. Sheperd’s six-year-old son, Jeffrey, walked her down the aisle.

Can’t say enough about how special of a woman I have. It takes a lot to endure the worst of times and still stay grounded during the best of times. She’s been able to do so for long as I can remember. For all that and more, I just adore her in every way. I love her spirit, her heart, her integrity and her loyalty. She’s the love of my life and the girl of my dreams. I’ve heard so much about it being hard for true love to exist in the fast lanes of Hollywood, when dudes can’t stay respectfully committed and chicks can’t stay out their man’s pockets. But somehow she makes it easy, and we never had those problems.

When the world has turned on me and there is darkness all around, she finds a way to bring light in my life and provide positive energy in the face of some of the most extreme circumstances. As long as we have us, fuck da world….nothing else really matters. I’d lay my life down for her and wouldn’t blink about it.

In my eyes, she’s the most beautiful woman inside and out. I wouldn’t trade her for all the sun on the beach. As much as I’ve done wrong in life, I’m convinced that I must’ve done something right to deserve a woman as great as her. And I’ll forever do all I can to continue to show my undying love and appreciation.

Long before the expensive shopping sprees, Bart Simpson influenced lip injections, jail sentences, and marital bliss Tiny tells Kelly L. Carter that she blew The Kaaaaang’s repeated advances off. Now why you wanna go and do that?

T.I. always says I gave him such a hard time when we first met and I did… I stood him up a couple times.

When I met him, I was kinda on hiatus, I’d broken from Xscape, but I had co-wrote the song “No Scrubs” for TLC, so you know, I was living good and doing my thing and I met him in the mall, well, I had met him before in the studio. I was working with Jazzy Pha one time and he came in and I also had heard from a guy, KP, who signed him. He played some of his music for me one time and I was like, he’s a hot artist, I like him.

Then I saw him in the mall and we conversed a little bit and I had my daughter with me and somehow we exchanged numbers and later on that evening, before I could leave the mall we was on the phone, and I was like, ‘OK, so you wanna grab something to eat?’ We went to this little $3 cafe right around the corner with my little girl and we just sat there kickin’ it. And from then on, he was calling me and calling me, wanting to come hook up and I’d be like, ‘Yeah, we gon…let’s hook up, such and such’ and then I wouldn’t answer the phone and he’d be like, ‘You know time after time.’

So finally I let him come by, but I still wasn’t sure because I felt like ‘Oh, he’s a baby’ and I treated it like that and he kinda felt like, ‘You trying to play me like I’m a little boy.’ And one night, and it’s probably the best thing he could’ve did, he invited me to one of his shows and it was at The Bounce on Bankhead, and I went to the show, and first of all, it was jam-packed outside, it was crazy and I’m like, ‘All these people here for this guy?’ We went in there and he tore the house down. And I was like, ‘OK, I think I like him.’ [Laughs] He’s got something there.
