House Mother Kanye hasn’t released a solo album since 2010′s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy but that didn’t stop him from receiving a staggering 17 nominations for the seventh annual BET Hip-Hop Awards. Let the “that’s unabashed dick riding though” Twitter debate ensue. Other multiple nominees dominated categories include 2 Chainz (13) and Drake (11).

The award show will take place in Atlanta on Saturday, September 29th but doesn’t air on the network until October 9th.

Comedian Mike Epps, who is set to host the awards for the fourth year in a row, hit up 106 & Park yesterday with nominees A$AP Rocky, Ca$h Out, DJ Envy and DJ Drama. Check out the full list of this year’s nominees on BET.com.

Miss Brandy Norwood promised her Starz an epic music video for a song many forget about – “Put It Down” featuring Chris Brown.

She pushed back the video release date over and over again, leaving fans praying for a Brandy comeback frustrated.

After a few false starts and interview after interview hyping up the video, Brandy blessed the R&B world with the video directed by Hype Williams on BET’s 106 & Park and the colorful and sassy video now has her fan base split.

The ‘Put It Down’ video is everything Brandy fans were hoping for. It’s fresh, youthful, the fashion was on point and most importantly it looked like the singer was having fun, but will this do anything to help the success for her upcoming project?

Even though fans are pleased with the video, they are still left frustrated on why it took over two months for it to be released.
