Now that Eddie Murphy has made sure that all is well with Johnny Gill, he’s been able to focus on his other love — music.

I know where your mind is going right now. What is his purpose in life? Can’t he live off of ‘Shrek’ and be happy? Apparently not.

Though it has been 20 years since his last album, someone decided to be a good samaritan and allow the Donkey full access of their basement studio to start recording timeless music again.

In anticipation for his forthcoming album the 52-year-old entertainer made his first tweet a link to his song “Red Light”, featuring none other than Snoop Lion.

On the reggae infused song about police profiling, Murphy channels his inner Bunny Wailer, singing “Broken economy, the streets are dire/ Even more than before/ I need some betterness to take me higher/ Feels like I’m gonna blow.”

The official video for “Red Light” is scheduled to debut on Monday, but you can watch Eddie and Snoop perform the song below.
