News Break

The mayor of a Kansas town issued an apology Thursday for appearing as a drag-queen in blackface last weekend as part of a fundraising event, according to the local chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).

Arkansas City Mayor Mel Kuhn participated in and won a drag queen contest held as part of an annual fund raiser sponsored by Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), an agency that supports foster children in the court system.

Kuhn appeared dressed as a character which he called “Smellishis Poon,” with his face painted dark for the event.

But Kuhn told FOXNews.com that he was not in blackface, but in “tanface,” and did not intend to offend anyone.

“Blackface is shoepolish,” he said. “That’s not what I did. I dressed up to win and because it was so hilarious.”

Quick quote of the day: “We finna get paid!”

An Aiken County Sheriff’s Office deputy has been fired and charged with attacking a teenager this weekend and jailing him on trumped-up charges.

Jeffrey S. Nation, 40 is charged with assault and battery and misconduct in office, said Lt. Michael Frank, an Aiken County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson.

On Sunday, the deputy arrested Lorenzo Williams Jr., 18, of Richmond Circle in New Ellenton, claiming the 18-year-old tried to head butt him when he stopped him walking in the area of Green and Jackson streets.

Williams never tried to head butt the deputy, Frank said. The incident was captured on police video and there was no such attempted attack, he added.

Quick Quotes

“I think the black people would say he [Obama] don’t talk, act or carry himself as a black person.”

“What does that even mean?” the audibly shocked Beck replied.

“Well, I don’t know what that means,” Keith drawled, “but I think that that’s what they would say. “

“Even though the black society would pull for him I still think that they think in the back of their mind that the only reason he is in [the general election] is because he talks, acts and carries himself as a Caucasian.”

You And Grandpappy Can Go To Hell

I love the Colbert Report but I can’t get jiggy with this shit. Not one bit.

Last night, country singer Toby Keith appeared on the Colbert Report to promote his new movie, Beer for My Horses. The movie is based off his song by the same name, which he performed on the show — and whose lyrics promote vigilante-style hangings of anyone considered “wicked” or “evil”:

Grandpappy told my pappy, back in my day, son
A man had to answer for the wicked that he done
Take all the rope in Texas
Find a tall oak tree, round up all of them bad boys
Hang them high in the street for all the people to see

Max Blumenthal notes that in Keith’s “Grandpappy’s” day, “3,437 African-Americans were lynched in the United States, mostly in the heart of Dixie.” Blumenthal also remarks on the racial undertones in the song’s video; the movie trailer depicts a “Mexican guy” who deals drugs and kidnaps Keith’s character’s girlfriend. That Ludacris pro-Obama song doesn’t sound so bad after this, huh?

I’m Just Saying . . .

See, this is why Angelina doesn’t deal with Jon Voight’s ass now. How much you want to bet that he’ll be crying on E! News later tonight? Ya’ll already know how sensitive his old ass is.

Sen. Barack Obama has grown up with the teaching of very angry, militant white and black people: the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, William Ayers and Rev. Michael Pfleger. We cannot say we are not affected by teachers who are militant and angry. We know too well that we become like them, and Mr. Obama will run this country in their mindset . . .

If Mr. Obama had his way, he would have pulled our troops from Iraq years ago and initiated an unprecedented bloodbath, turning over that country to the barbarianism of our enemies. With what he has openly stated about his plans for our military, and his lack of understanding about the true nature of our enemies, there’s not a cell in my body that can accept the idea that Mr. Obama can keep us safe from the terrorists around the world, and from Iran, which is making great strides toward getting the atomic bomb. And while a misleading portrait of Mr. Obama is being perpetrated by a media controlled by the Democrats, the Obama camp has sent out people to attack the greatness of Sen. John McCain, whose suffering and courage in a Hanoi prison camp is an American legend.

YouTube Clip of the Day

Barack Obama may have lost this old woman’s vote but according to the associated press he has clinched the democratic nomination. Take that, Tweety bird’s grandmother!

“Did he have on a white tee and some air force ones?” I can’t. And I will not.

Son of Dog the Bounty Hunter poses with his girlfriend // Duane “Dog” Chapman

This Dog has been chained.

A&E has indefinitely pulled all airings of Dog the Bounty Hunter effective Friday, two days after star Duane “Dog” Chapman’s racist rant hit the Internet.

“In evaluating the circumstances of the last few days, A&E has decided to take Dog the Bounty Hunter off the network’s schedule for the foreseeable future,” the network said in a statement. “We hope that Mr. Chapman continues the healing process that he has begun.”

An A&E spokesperson insisted the network’s flagship series—one of the top-rated shows on cable with around 2 million viewers per first-run episode—has not been canceled.

The network had already suspended production on the show on Wednesday, shortly after Chapman’s N-bomb-laced conversation was posted online by the National Enquirer.

“When the inquiry is concluded, we will take appropriate action,” A&E said in an earlier statement.

Civil-rights leaders have decried Chapman’s outburst, and at least two advertisers pulled their sponsorship before A&E’s decision to shelve Dog the Bounty Hunter. (continue)

I have the utmost respect and aloha for black people who have suffered so much due to racial discrimination and acts of hatred,” Chapman said in a statement released last week.

We don’t believe you, you need more people! This is all fucked up. When Dog was stuck in Mexico I remember feeling bad for his pussy ass. I think I even signed an online petition is his defense. Yeah, it didn’t do shit to get him out of police custody but that’s besides the point!

You Sent It! // Word YT?

The biologist was suspended today from his longtime post at a research laboratory and canceled his planned British book tour after controversial comments that black people are not as intelligent as white people.

…Watson also asserted there was no reason to believe different races separated by geography should have evolved identically, and he said that while he hoped everyone was equal, “people who have to deal with black employees find this is not true.”

The biologist apologized “unreservedly” Thursday for his comments and said he was “mortified” by the words attributed to him.

“I cannot understand how I could have said what I am quoted as having said,” Watson said during an appearance at the Royal Society in London. “I can certainly understand why people, reading those words, have reacted in the ways that they have.”

“To all those who have drawn the inference from my words that Africa, as a continent, is somehow genetically inferior, I can only apologize unreservedly. That is not what I meant. More importantly from my point of view, there is no scientific basis for such a belief.” (source)

Yeah, he better take his ass back across the water before somebody leans on him in Walgreens parking lot.

Where is Pimp C and Plies when you need them to give a good tongue lashing? If there is one thing I can’t stand is when momofukas go back on the shit they said . . . and then try to give a weak ass apology! My Granny always said that you can say sorry with your mouth but if your heart isn’t in it then don’t waste your time.

Ugh, I refuse to let this crazy, decrepit, goonie goo goo, saltine cracka ass cracka (I just call it how I see it) ruin my day. NEXT!
