The unnamed surrogate carrying a child for Sherri Shepherd and her estranged husband Lamar Sally has given birth, according to TMZ. The baby boy was reportedly born in Pennsylvania on Tuesday (August 5).

The departing ‘The View’ co-host was not present for the birth but sources tell the site that Lamar was present, adding “He is excited to be a new dad and for the future ahead.” The site also reports that “Lamar intends to raise the child himself” and will ask a court “to order Sherri to pay support.” Thus explaining why she reportedly does not want custody or to be named as a parent.

Sherri reportedly has no genetic connection to the baby. The newborn was allegedly conceived through IVF with an egg donor and Lamar’s sperm.

Lamar filed for divorce from Sherri back in May. The couple exchanged vows in August 2011 after becoming engaged in December 2010. She was previously married to Jeff Tarpley from 2001 to 2010, and gave birth to a son in April 2005. She recently maintained custody of the 9-year-old boy in court, when Jeff attempted to obtain full custody of the child.

Heavy, heavy.
