The life milestones of Towanda Braxton include being an extra in the “Seven Whole Days” music video and getting arrested for writing stolen checks before finding mild fame through the success of the ‘Braxton Family Values’ reality series, so when she grasps for straws to pull stunts I can’t do anything but understand. Booking dates are harder to lock down in 2014.
Recently, Towanda took to Twitter to let people know that Vincent Herbert, husband and manager to sister Tamar, was facing a tax lien totaling almost $3.3 million.
Now she says that she feels justified in airing her family’s dirty laundry because people didn’t see the hurtful things that Tamar’s followers — you know, the faceless strangers hiding behind computer screens — were saying to her.
“They said ‘I wish Towanda’s kids got raped and run over by a bus,’” she explained to Bossip in a recent interview. “See people didn’t see that stuff. They just saw what I wrote. So after that I have to say that was 100% out of character for Towanda to respond, but I wasn’t thinking about what was right and what was wrong at that moment I was just reacting and responding.”
If you think the Yolanda Adams facially favored sister regrets anything of this then you don’t know the typical behavior of a stunt queens . . . and we need to re-evaluate our relationship.
“A lot of people are like ‘Towanda, you just blasted the family business!’” she adds. “I didn’t tell family business. That was already on the web. This was public knowledge before I said anything ladies and gentlemen. I didn’t divulge any secrets of the Braxton family. I don’t do that.”
