More supporting evidence this evening that the world ain’t shit: Somebody put dem paws on Johnny Gill.
In a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Gill claims that the Beverly Hills Four Seasons failed to step in when a drunk white male randomly hurled racially inflammatory comments at him before launching into an assault that left him unable to perform in 2011.
Grindr hook up gone incredibly wrong? Who knows.
Gill alleges that he suffered extensive bodily injury when the stranger slammed him against a heated lamp while he tried to protect the sanctity of his pumkash while fending off the attack.
In the court documents, Gill’s lawyers write, “Plaintiff was seated at the patio area of the dining/cocktail area with friends. At approximately 11 p.m. on said date, another guest, who was obviously very inebriated, sitting at another table in the patio area, without provocation hurled racially charged remarks at plaintiff.”
“At no time did defendant’s security employees, staff or representative offer any assistance to plaintiff nor did any such intervene to protect plaintiff, prevent the individual from becoming inebriated and thus behaving in an unruly manner the result of which was the assault that was committed on plaintiff and the resulting injuries to plaintiff.”
According to the Courthouse News Service, the 47-year-old R&B singer is seeking $1 million in damages for “negligence, failure to intervene, failure to exercise reasonable care, pain and suffering and medical expenses.”
