Frank Ocean appeared to be one sip away from a terrible decision as he posed for photos with Miles Teller and Kid Cudi at the GQ Men of The Year party at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles on Tuesday (November 13). Ned The Wino, commonly referred to as Drunk Ass Tami in Crunkland, would be proud.
The 25-year-old singer has been keeping busy since the summer release of his debut studio album ‘Channel Orange’, spending time in the studio with the likes of Jay-Z and Pharrell.
When quizzed by MTV News on the red carpet at the event about the ever-growing roster of artists who want to work with him these days, he responded, “That’s not a problem. It’s not, like, a tragedy. It’s cool, it’s awesome, it just means people fuck with me, and that’s cool.”
Earlier this week, Andre 3000 spoke to Fuse TV about linking with the singer/songwriter for the track “Pink Matter.”
“Frank Ocean, he let me hear the song, he said, ‘I just want you to tell a story. Honestly, I don’t care what it is, just tell a story.’ And when I got the track, I just started writing to it and I was just, I’m just happy to be a part of that whole movement and his whole movement because he has become a whole ‘nother kind of icon in today’s age,” Three Stacks explained.
“So I was just happy to be a part of that album. And so all of these collaborations have been blessings for me, I don’t reach out like, ‘Hey, I want you to do this.’ Drake, Lil Wayne, all those guys, they reach out and say, ‘Let’s do this.’ I just want to do good for them, I don’t want to mess their songs.”
