Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas and Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins of TLC were on hand to accept the award for Outstanding Contribution to Music at the 2012 MOBO awards at Echo Arena on Saturday (November 3) in Liverpool, England.
I’m resisting the urge to do the “Waterfalls” shoulder jig because it would only lead to me revisiting my childhood via Spotify, but I’m burning with desire.
T-Boz may have been relegated to the passenger side of her best friend’s ride after being sued for failing to make payments on her 2005 Honda Odyssey earlier this year, but when there are All-Star Specials from the Waffle House waiting in the wings you quickly tend to discover your own strength.
Last month it was announced that TLC has ordered for episode of ‘Totally T-Boz’, a reality show focusing on the singer’s return to music.
“Tionne dominated the charts for years, turning the group TLC into household name, and her personal journey is as fascinating as her professional one,” said Amy Winter, general manager of TLC. “This series will open the door into T-Boz’s struggles and successes, and the people who are there to support her as she works to make her dreams come true all over again.”
Expected to appear on ‘Totally T-Boz‘ is Watkins’ daughter Chase, her brother Kayo, cousins Barb and Chris, best friend Tae-Tae and business partner Tara.
