Monica: In A New York Minute

Monica struck a quick “I rep the Southside whenever I ride” pose for shutterbugs on the scene as she arrived at her hotel in New York City on Monday (August 6). The 31-year-old singer is taking The Big Apple with husband Shannon Brown to promote his Wood-Star Music Festival.

Look who finally came up for air from finger banging on her iPod to tell us how blessed her life, kids, and dutch-splitting skills are long enough to get some shit accomplished. Gold star for you, Mo!

Shannon will sponsor the 3-day event promoting entertainment, empowerment and culture with proceeds benefiting the Shannon Brown Foundation. Monica will join a performance line-up that includes Robin Thicke, Estelle, Dawn Richard, Slick Rick, Naughty By Nature and more at Chi-town’s Union Park. If you spot R. Kelly and Khia in the parking lot hustling t-shirts, perfume oils, and dvd’s flash your headlights twice to warn others!
