Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star, also known as rapper Bow Wow, went against my Twitter advice as a budding location scout (I suggested a ‘The First 48′ favorite — the quaint and picturesque Miami neighborhood of Overtown) and instead filmed the music video for his single “We In Da Club” in Hollywood, Florida last week.

Look, the boy has a child to provide for so act like you give half a damn. Shouts out to the homie Bart.

    Ugh… How many more “In The Club”-type of songs do we need to hear from third-rate rappers??? Without even clicking at the photos, let me take a stab at the video concept: party scene, ginger ale posing as expensive champagne (shout out to The Roots “What They Do” lol), ratchet thirsty chicks whose resume credentials read “model” although I have yet to see them strut down a runway, a rented sports car, probably a few pit bulls barking ferociously at the camera, and Bow Wow trying his best to look like he stands a fighting chance with his weak Playschool lyrics and annoying flow – alll shot at a location that his management had to haggle down to an affordable price. It’s like most rappers have lost the gene for creativity. 

     

    Give me The Roots, Common, Kweli, and Bahamadia any day over these cartoon characters. Bow Wow – please have several seats.

    Chile, I honestly thought that was the end of bow wow after big momma’s house 1 was out. I was like..aww..hopefully he just rides this out till he 16 then go to school. Oh well.

      What do you mean “anymore”? When did anyone ever give a fuck? Honestly, I couldn’t name a Bow Wow song at gunpoint. The first time I saw him was in a charity basketball game. I thought, awww, look at that cute little butch girl.
