On Friday (June 29), La La Anthony celebrated her birthday with friends at Los Angeles bistro Bagatelle at a brunch co-hosted by celebrity chef Travis Landon to kick off the BET Awards ’12 weekend.
Guest were lavished with X-Rated Fusion Liqueur speciality cocktails such as “La La’s Birthday Bellini”, “X-Rated Bubbly”, and “Red Carpet Xperience” and a catered brunch.
Attendees included: singer Tamia, Eva Marcille, Young Money’s Shanell, Filthy Coupons Diddy-Dirty Money’s Kalenna, and La La’s bestie Po Johnson — who at one point during the brunch jumped behind the wheels of steel and spun some tunes.
After brunch was complete pink cakes were brought out for guests to decorate on their own in teams for a chance to win a prize. At the end of the contest, La La announced that she was the winner, sparking a playful debate between she and Eva Marcelle.
Crunktastical caught up with Mrs. Anthony at the event to ask what she was looking forward to the most at the BET Awards ’12.
“I would love to see Chris Brown perform, I would love to see Nicki Minaj. There are going to be so many surprises. You see with BET, you never know what’s going to happen so I’m super excited to be a part of it. I’m presenting, it’s going to be cool,” La La scooped to C+D’s west coat correspondent Denise J.
She also revealed her summer plans with husband Carmelo Anthony. “He’s playing in the Olympics this year in London so he is training now. Yeah, we are getting ready for the Olympics.”
