Rita Ora was spotted in the streets of London en route to the Hackney Picture House to perform for BBC Radio 1Xtra’s ‘Live Lounge’ at the Hackney Academy on Friday (June 8). I hate to keep saying this . . . well not really, but if this whole music thing doesn’t work out modeling for Karmaloop is her next best option.

The 21-year-old blonde bombshell says that although she was ready to drop her album back in 2009 she was purposely left by label Roc Nation to incubate. For two years Rita found her writing voice, partied with friends, experienced young love (her rumored current boo is Rob Kardashian), and most importantly was at the side of her mother as she struggled with breast cancer (Mama Ora has since recovered).
“They knew what it was, otherwise they wouldn’t have signed me. But they knew my music could be something bigger,” she tells Vibe magazine. “I’d be like, ‘Put me out!’ I was the eager singer that wanted to just make music. I wanted people to hear everything I was recording. And they were like, ‘Rita, relax. You’ve got us. Wait. Find yourself.’ The best thing that Jay ever taught me was patience. Breathe, find what you are and what you want to write about. No one can tell you what you are. Find yourself.”
Watch Rita balance playing hard and working even harder on the latest episode of her ’24/7′ web series.
