Queen Latifah Denies Coming Out The Closet, Recalls Tupac Kicking It With The Gay Kids At The Club

Don’t create an online advertising initiative for Queen Latifah to appear alongside Michael Jordan as spokesmen for the Hanes’ ComfortBlend Dick Hole Collection just yet.

Big Daddy Dana is denying reports that she came out of the same closet she has been hiding Cleo in during her appearance at the Long Beach lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Pride festival last month.

While on stage on May 19, Latifah referred to the crowd as “her people” and asked “Are you feeling all the unity?” sparking many to believe that she had finally embraced the aggressive stud that we all have seen flashes of since she shook Grant Hill with the ill crossover on ‘Living Single.’

“That definitely wasn’t the case,” she tells Entertainment Weekly. “I’ve never dealt with the question of my personal life in public. It’s just not gonna happen.”

“To me, doing a gay pride show is one of the most fun things,” she said recalling an early career experience at a LGBT nightclub. “My first show that paid more than $10,000 was in a gay club on New Year’s Eve in San Francisco. Tupac happened to be in town, so he came to kick it with me. This was the early ’90s. And the boys were like, ‘Take your shirt off, Tupac!’ He wasn’t doing that. But we had a blast in there.”
