Kelly Rowland arrived stylishly comfortable at Heathrow Airport on Monday (May 28). Despite losing her ‘X Factor’ seat the “Motivation” singer was awarded with TV Personality of the Year honors at the Glamour Awards ceremony held at London’s Berkeley Square.
A source close to the wig crypt shining star tells The Metro that the she wanted to travel back to the UK to accept the award to ensure there was no hostility between her and the public.
“There was never any question that Kelly connected with the public. This award was voted for by the public,” the insider dished.
“When she heard she won, Kelly wanted to fly straight back to say a big thank you to her British fans. She wanted to make sure there was no beef between her and them – she loves the British public. This proves there was never any question about Kelly connecting with the public, like some people had said.”
Speaking with UK TV show Daybreak on the red carpet, Kelly revealed that she believes it is important to enjoy the company of friends who can boost your self-esteem rather than Twitpic your mustache on the low.
“Surround yourself with other women who uplift you and make you feel good about yourself as well. I did that!” she smiled.
