Tameka “Tiny” Harris and husband T.I. joined other celebrities including Oprah Winfrey and Chris Tucker for the 80th birthday celebration of civil rights pioneer Andrew Young at The Hyatt Regency Atlanta on Sunday (May 20) in Atlanta, Georgia.

Following Jay-Z’s support for President Barack Obama’s endorsement of same-sex marriage, the Rubberband Man took a more laid back approach to the subject on Hot 97′s morning show last week:

“I don’t care. I don’t see what the big deal is, why some people are so against it. Why would you be so against it if it doesn’t affect you or your lifestyle? I’m not in that world and it doesn’t affect me if they did or they didn’t. I don’t care enough one way or another. If something doesn’t affect you, you should not take a strong position against it.”

    Stuff becomes legal all the time with thousands of people not giving a damn. It was plenty of folks in the US who didn’t blink or change their route to work when the slaves were freed. And it’s plenty of ish going on in this world right now (way more important than gay marriage) that ain’t stopping us from going to Taco Bell and complaining about BBW every week.
