According to our friends over at Bark + Bite the official reason Burger King pulled the plug on Mary J. Blige’s much blogged about commercial spot was due to licensing issues.

The jingle, which had me doing Rihanna’s signature gun dance move into the wee hours of the morning, is a reworking of the song “Don’t Mind” from her My Life II album.

Fall out from the controversial commercial adverted? Fuck no. But until an episode of The Boondocks is dedicated to harping on Willona’s wig I’m leaving it in the hands of Trap Jesus.

Now let me get one final gun jig out of my system.

      Is it me or are those songs mandatory for every Jamaican/West Indian social gathering? Don’t get me wrong, I love it but I’ve been hearing those songs since elementary school.
