As she awaits for the process of Lil’ Kim erasing her social security number to conclude, Nicki Minaj is racking up on frequent flyer miles. She showed love to her fans at Narita International Airport in Japan yesterday as news spread that she is set to earn millions with soft drink giant Pepsi.
Forbes reports that the deal includes an international commercial and a gig as the face of a new natural soda called “Pop” in the fourth quarter and marks Minaj’s biggest brand relationship to date.
The Pepsi-Minaj deal was brokered by the Glu Agency’s Derek Jackson, a former manager of hip-hop producer Scott Storch (who is ironically the ex-boyfriend of Lil’ Kim — I’m just being messy to add to this post’s word count), also helped engineer the “DEWeezy” campaign from Mountain Dew and Minaj’s Young Money boss Lil Wayne.
