Ladies and zestlemen ['m looking at you Tyler] gathered in the Hammerstein Ballroom today to attend Turner’s 2009 Upfront presentation. The network plans to pair four returning dramas with three new series this summer, including the hospital drama Hawthorne starring Jada Pinkett Smith, a reality show about weddings, and a police drama from producer Jerry Bruckheimer.
Tyler Perry appeared to promote the renewal of his two TBS shows, Meet the Browns and Tyler Perry’s House of Payne.
George Lopez joked with the mostly white audience about how the Latino population of the room would increase when the time came to clean up after the presentation. Lopez’s last night talk show is slated to debut in November on TBS.
