Hutchinson police said a 48-year-old man is charged with breaking into a woman’s apartment and stealing her underwear.

Sgt. John Moore said Monday the 23-year-old woman told police she arrived home Friday to find her neighbor coming out of her bedroom naked. She called police, who arrested Carl Bengstron Jr. trying to leave his apartment in possession of a pair of the woman’s panties.

Bengstron is facing two counts of aggravated burglary because the woman was accompanied by her child when she walked in on him. He was also charged with theft, as well as lewd and lascivious behavior.

Moore said the woman had not been staying in her apartment recently because she suspected someone had been entering her bedroom and going through her underwear drawer. [source]
