Mary J. Blige has signed on to star alongside Taraji P. Henson in “I Can Do Bad All by Myself,” Tyler Perry’s upcoming film for Lionsgate.

The film, an adaptation of one of Tyletta’s early stage plays, is set for a nationwide release on Sept. 11.

Willona Woods will portray a nightclub manager and singer who is a good friend to Henson’s character. And of course Perry’s signature character Madea will be featured in the film.

Oh brother. I guess Tyler never bothered to watch Prison Song or that episode of The Jamie Foxx Show when Ron Isley played her preaching pops. The cycle of destruction continues. Now I wouldn’t have a problem with Taraji wearing a wig called the Mary J. [act like you know] but this is just wrong.
