Tameka Foster is recovering from surgical complications after undergoing a medical procedure in Brazil. Usher pulled out of his performance at Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy Awards party on Saturday citing a “serious illness in the family” for the missed appearance.

Says her rep:

“(Foster is) in stable condition after suffering complications from routine surgery in Brazil. Her husband, Usher, is with her at the hospital. No further details will be released, and the family requests privacy at this difficult time.”

Routine, eh? The surgery comes two months after Tameka gave birth to the couple’s second son together, Naveid Ely Raymond.
