Your Two Cents Required: Beyaki’s L’Oreal Controversy Revisited
I know this horse is dead but after reading Vote Me Cool’s post I thought I would bring it back to life and ask for your input again.
Unbeknown to me there was so much controversy around Beyaki’s L’Oreal ad that the topic was the subject of conversation on CNN. After I thought about it for more than 30 seconds the idea that the original scan that was circulated could have been scanned with a low quality scanner did enter my mind.
There have been plenty of occasions where I have scanned things for the site and the image quality did not match the actual magazine, so I saturated the images in photo shop. At the same time I didn’t want to turn a blind eye to the fuckery that companies try to pull.
One of the panelist pointed the fingers at bloggers who jumped the gun by accusing L’Oreal of altering Bust It Creole’s image. What do you think really think happened in this situation? Don’t hold back now, give your honest opinion. I’m very curious to know how other people view this.
