Nas - “Hero” Featuring Keri Hilson
!I’m The IPS and I run the blog Tha Feedback. Miss Fresh has asked me to contribute to C&D for video reviews and I am excited! All that said, I bring you the latest from Nas, his video for “Hero” featuring my baby moms Keri Hilson.
Let’s just run this down, shall we?
Those must be Kelis’ bookies & bill collectors trying to get Nas for his Amex Black Card? He must have cut her off after she got dropped from her deal LOL. The ski masks are mad random, especially since they are just walking down the street, like Nas is some Thug Pied Piper. I’m not saying he had to have Soulja Boy’s Superman cape, but I’m saying. He could have made this more interesting rather than a half-done “If I Ruled The World” update!
Since this is his “radio” friendly song, he must be saving the budget for his release party likka & skrippas bill. He’s already shot a bunch of videos for the more controversial songs on his album, which drops July 15th, so I guess he was just like “whatever, this is fine. Let’s just get it over with!”
More Keri Hilson would have been nice — they straight Kelly Price’d her and left all her scenes on the cutting floor. I wonder if chauffeuring Nas pays better than singing hooks?
That dude Nas doesn’t age, I swear upon Russell Simmon’s yoga mat, but this is just kind of disappointing. I was hoping in the age of summer blockbusters and Marvel movies we’d get something…MORE. The song still knocks, and that 3rd verse is fire.
