Oakland Raiders wide receiver Javon Walker could be released from the hospital Tuesday, a day after he was beaten, robbed and left unconscious on a Las Vegas street after a night of partying, police said.

A large amount of cash and some jewelry were taken from Walker, who suffered “significant injuries,” police said.

Las Vegas Review-Journal columnist Norm Clarke wrote that Walker partied Saturday night at Tryst, a popular casino in the Wynn, “spraying the crowd with some of the 15 bottles of Dom Perignon Rose champagne he ordered. Also at the club: UFC fighter Wanderlei Silva and former NBA standout Charles Oakley [who played for the Toronto Raptors]. Walker later moved over to Drai’s After Hours.

Walker, 29, signed a six-year, $55 million deal with the Raiders after being released by the Denver Broncos in February. [source 1 + 2]
