ushmek Usher, We Heard You The First Time

Another day, another quote from Usher defending his marriage.

“Am I so much of a bad guy because I decided to get married?” Usher says. “Am I so much of a bad guy [because once I got in the situation] I decided to stand for something, build a foundation and think about my future? As a man, you would respect me for not turning my back on it.”

They welcomed their son, Usher Raymond V, last November.

“The swagger I possess now definitely comes from my wife,” he says. “And my son completes me. He changes my perspective on what life is, and what matters. [source]

Surprisingly enough Tameka and her nut wrangler have grown on me over this past year, but I just wish they would just give their critics the finger and take their little monchichi and live happily ever after.

Usher also tells Vibe magazine that he didn’t fire his mother has his manager but retired her to being a full-time grandmother. “My mother and I decided to change her situation, together,” Usher says. “There was a conversation. I didn’t write her a letter or pink slip her.”

While we’re on the subject of Ushmeka, Rickey Smiley and his morning crew recently played a prank on the singer during a telephone interview. Visit Pop Culture Junkie to listen.
