I have give the side-eye to Essence magazine 9 out of 10 times [seriously, how many times are they going to pull that 'girl, getcha money right!' and 'keep your Black man from creeping with Becky at the office' shit out of the hat?], but I will give credit when its due. The photo spread that accompanies the article about Erykah Badu in this month’s issue is dope and I’m not even looking it at from a stan’s point of view. Bravo bust it babies!
