Janet Jackson, Common, Gladys Knight, and Star Jones were among the celebrity crowd to attend the opening night of the US Open. Monday night started as a tribute to Althea Gibson and her historic victory 50 years ago at the U.S. championships, and ended as a celebration of the Williams sisters.
