Pattie La Belle & John Legend At Tiffany & Co. Event
Pattie La Belle & John Legend At Tiffany & Co. Event
Well will you check out those chesticles on her! Nicole Richie (and now that I think about it Trey Songz too) could live off those things for at least five months. Pattie would give an old man a stroke messing around with those things. Put em on the glass one time! She looks good though. I’m convinced that the magic is in that mac and cheese she likes to whip up. I hope she didn’t roll around on those white people’s stage though. They probably would’ve left her ass right there if her hip gave out. Oh and John Legend was there too. . .yay.
Patti didn’t have such a good performance the night before though:
Rhythm-and-blues diva Patti LaBelle struggled through a weekend show after taking the stage at midnight, at one point sitting down and crying. “I’ve never been this embarrassed in my life,” LaBelle told the crowd Saturday at the Riviera Beach Jazz and Blues Festival. “This sucks. It’s the worst show I’ve ever done in my life.” As temperatures dipped into the low 50s, LaBelle explained that she’s nearly 62 and has diabetes and a heart murmur, and the cold weather simply wasn’t agreeing with her. The Grammy-winning singer tried to belt out a few notes, then told fans huddled under blankets that she understood if they walked out on her. A steady stream of people left the show during her 45 minutes on stage after having waited hours through opening acts. (continue)
Poor Pattie. At least she apologized. I’m still waiting for Mya to say sorry to me for fucking up “It’s All About Me” on Teen Summit. Thanks Skorpio for the info!

Denzel Washington Spotlight
Denzel Washington has hailed sultry actress Angelina Jolie as one of the sexiest women in Hollywood. Washington insists Jolie once joked, ‘the best sex she ever had was with his paraplegic character in the thriller, “Bone Collector.” Denzel responded, “Well what can I say! She’s very sexy-there’s a unique appeal about her, there’s just something about the way she moves. She’s like liquid.” Denzel Washington has slammed reports he advised actor Terrence Howard to avoid performing a controversial song at the Oscars earlier this month. Washington allegedly teamed up with Sidney Poitier and Will Smith to urge Howard to reconsider his performance of “It’s Hard Out Here Being A Pimp,” because black Hollywood stars could be offended by his crude lyrics. However, Washington insists he knew nothing about the song. He says, “No, that’s nonsense. That was in the press? Really? I didn’t even know he was singing that song.” (PanacheReport)
Three Six Mafia Explains Their Oscar Toting
Three 6 Mafia say they weren’t stunting when they were seen in Los Angeles carrying their Oscar around with them everywhere for two straight weeks. They were just being cautious.”We was in L.A. for two weeks and we didn’t get a chance to go home,” Juicy J explained during a trip to NYC last week. “So we had to carry the Oscar everywhere we went because they said we should get insurance for it because somebody might try to take it or rob you for it. It’s gold. It weighs eight and a half pounds.”The Juice says rolling with Oscar paid off immediately.”I couldn’t get in a club, so I pulled out the Oscar and they let me right in,” he revealed with a chuckle. “When I got back to Memphis, I put the Oscar in a fireproof safe. So if you try to burn the house down, you can’t burn the Oscar.”Three 6’s homies weren’t fazed by the group winning such a prestigious award. Heck, some of them didn’t even know what exactly the Mafia won.”A lot of my friends don’t even know what an Academy Award is,” Juicy said. “They thought I won a Grammy. I said, ‘N—a, you crazy. This is an Oscar, one of the biggest awards you can get.’ ” … (MTV)

Trina Borrows Mary J. Blige’s Nettie Braid
Trina Borrows Mary J. Blige’s Nettie Braid
It’s been a while since we last checked in with Katrina LaVerne. I was starting to wonder how our sister in Christ was doing. Well as Pink’s album title would say she’s not dead. But that damn braid has been announced as such. I’ve come to accept the braid on Mary but Trina? No. It’s bad enough I want to say “you and me us never part” when I see that shit on MJB, now somebody else has it. Cake and Ice Cream has more pictures of Trina, Lil’ Wayne, and Paul Wall down in Miami at a video shoot for DJ Khaled.

The Movie "ATL" Said To Cause Possible Behavior Problems In Theaters
The Movie “ATL” Said To Cause Possible Behavior Problems In Theaters

This week’s opening of the urban drama “ATL” is causing a lot of pre-emptive activity among malls throughout Atlanta, where the movie was shot. A memo obtained by the city’s Channel 2 Action News reveals the company General Growth, which owns local malls Cumberland and Perimeter, sent a memo warning staff at its properties showing the film to “prepare” for its release on Friday, stating: “The movie could cause behavior problems among customers.” Greg Alexander, owner of Cascade Skating Rink where parts of the “ATL” were filmed, was shown the memo by Action News. He said in response: “I think it has a possibility that it could be discriminatory.” Alexander says he has written proof from the filmmakers that the movie, starring rappers T.I., Big Boi and actor Evan Ross, would not contain gratuitous sex and violence. Yeah if I had to see T.I. with his shirt off it would make me want to start a riot too. But from what I’ve seen in the movie trailer I don’t see how the hell this movie would make someone get ignorant in the theater. Now if they were talking about doing some mean roller skating tricks that another story.
